Talk About Future

Why it's hard to learn English. I've been in Newcastle for 17 months, and I've been join ESOL course since September 2012, but I still find it hard.

This morning I learned about how to express future. Usually we use these word:

  • I will ...
  • I am going to...
  • I would like to ....
  • I am intend to...
  • I am planning to ...
For examples:
  • I will go to the shop this afternoon to buy meats.
  • I am going to cook some special dishes for dinner.
  • I would like to buy a new coat next winter.
  • I am intend to visit my country next year.
  • I am planning to go to discovery museum next week.
It''s looks easy, but when the teacher asked me to make a sentence using this formula, it's still confusing. And suddenly I have no idea what should I say, or think, just nervous ha3....

#Another story

Jenny told me that her friend would like to visit Indonesia this Friday. Her friend is a lecturer in an university. She has some Indonesian students, and their students keep telling her to visit Indonesia. When I asked which country she want to visit, Jenny isn't sure, just a city begin with S. And then I guested it could be Surabaya, and Jenny said yes. She asked me to give some advices, what should she brings, what kind of food she can try, what kind of souvenir etc.

Actually, I am not sure about giving advice, but I tried. I told Jenny maybe her friend need lose clothes because of hot weather in Surabaya, hat, sun cream, glasses, umbrella maybe. About food, I don't know much about Surabaya's special dishes, rujak cingur, lontong balap? I need to googling about this one. Because when I stayed in Surabaya, my favourite food is pecel lele, but is that originally from Surabaya? Hemmm

I see, I remember about soto, yes soto Ambengan. I used to eat soto when I was in Surabaya. I think Jenny's friend should try this food. I need to make a list about many kinds of Surabaya's food. There are:

  1. soto ambengan
  2. rujak cingur
  3. pecel lele
  4. lontong balap
  5. gado-gado
  6. sate kerang
Anything else?
