Rewrite a Story

Yesterday we learned how to rewrite a story. First, the teacher asked us to read a story. And after that, we need to answer some questions related with the story. Last, we need to rewrite the story.

This is the story is looks like.

Joey and The Thieves

One day, Joey's donkey had died. He went to the market to buy a new donkey. After he got a new donkey, he went home.
When Joey walked home with his donkey, there were two young men looking at him. They wanted to steal his donkey.
One man took the rope from the donkey's neck and then put it in his own neck, so he replaced the donkey with himself. Another young man took the donkey back to the market and sold it.

When Joey arrived home, he was amazed because the donkey became a man. "I bought a donkey then how can it become a young man?", he asked. "I have been cursed to be a donkey by my mum because she got angry with me", answered the thief. And then Joey let the young man go.

The next day, Joey went to the market to buy another new donkey. In the market, he found the same donkey as he bought one day before. The he whispered into the donkey's ear. "You must be very naughty so your mum cursed you again".

#Actually the real story was very funny than the one I've made. But I think my story is quite represent the idea. Of course it's not easy to rewrite a story in English, sometimes I get difficulties to understand the story, also how to use past tense in sentences. But the teacher told me that I need to keep writing and making journal in English about anything even small and simple thing so my writing getting better. I hope so.
