Dear Fran

My name is Devy. I am a new comer here. I have been here since September 2012. I come from Indonesia. It's my first time I have been abroad, so sometimes I feel scared and happy at the same time.

I was interested to know about yourself, especially about your cats because I love cats too but I don't have any. My brother had a cat, it was so fluffy and I loved her.

By the way, do you know about my country, Indonesia? But I am sure that you know about Bali island because many visitors know about Bali but they don't know about Indonesia.

So I am in the UK now, living in Newcastle. I hope I can visit another city in the UK.

With best wishes
Devy

My name is Devy Erfasanti. I come from Indonesia, the biggest muslim religion country in the world. I lived at 3 Asoka Hill, Dau, Malang. Malang is a small town in East Java. The weather is cooler than other areas, so most people like to work in a farm, as a farmer. They usually grow fruits, especially apples, so Malang is very famous and identifies with apples. Apple City is another name for Malang because there are many kinds of apples we can find.
Malang City

Malang is also famous as an education city because there are a lot of universities. And the location is near each other. There is the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Brawijaya University, University of Negeri Malang, Merdeka University, Islamic University etc. So we can choose which one we think is the best to go to study at.

One day I went to the City Centre. I wanted to buy a jumper for my daughter's uniform. First, I went to Primark, I found a black jumper but I couldn't find a navy one. So I asked the shopkeeper and she said that she had no navy colour jumper.

Next I went to Next. The shopkeeper helped me to find a navy jumper but the style was unusual. I thought that jumper wasn't suitable for uniform but for playing day. So I tried to find it in another store.

I decided to go to Mark & Spencer, unfortunately I still couldn't find the suitable colour and size. So I went home because I was so tired. Enough for that day and I would try another day.

The day after, my husband did. He found the proper jumper for may daughter. He found it in the small store but he forgot the store's name. My daughter was very happy having a new jumper.

Seven months ago, my friend and I went to a traditional market in the city. We went there by motorcycles. That was a hot and sunny day in my country. We just wanted to look arround, there was no something special to buy.

But then, I saw a beautiful dress, so I asked the shopkeeper about it's price. That was too expensive for that dress.

My friend gave me a trick that we could bargain for half of the mentioned prices. I wondered if it's works, was it fair enough for the seller? I had no confidence to try. But my friend did it. She got a pair of trainers with half price even though there was no discount day. Allah bless her.
