Last Sunday was my daughter's birthday, she is 8 year old now. Several days before she was expecting a birthday cake, and a surprise from me and my husband. Last year she got a monster high doll, and a birthday cake that I bought in Asda store. But this time, my and my husband just want a simple thing for her. I told her that we wont buy any birthday cake this time for a reason, and she said okey.
Saturday afternoon, we went to optician in the City Centre, we all got our eyes checked by the optician. She was very happy go to the optician, she hope, she would has a new glasses, Alhamdulillah her test was good so she didn't need any glasses. But that wasn't good news for her, she was very upset. My husband cheered her up by taking her to Wilko store to buy her birthday present.
In the store, she looked around in the stationary department, she found nothing she like. We went upstair to the toys department. She confused which one to choose. Her father wanted to buy her a bag, but she didn't want it. She showed me a box of nail art which were colourful nail polishes in it. Actually I didn't agree with her but I didn't say anything, alhamdulillah she got my reactions, then she put it back in the shelf without asked.
Finally she chose Frozen box which were a glitter comb, some bobbles, a hair fritz, and some hair clips in it. That was fine, and cheaper than the other thing, and the important thing was my daughter felt happy with his present. We paid in the cashier and we went home by bus.
Another happy thing has happened on Monday. Her teacher gave her a birthday card, and Aunty Kiki (one of my friend) make her a chocolate birthday cake with strawberries on it. She loved it. Alhamdulillah, I was very happy too because until now I couldn't make a perfect cake so I never think to make a cake, even an easy one. So we ate the cake together and took some pictures of it.
