One day I got wonton (somay sheets) from one of my friend, that's why I decided to make somay or dimsum. Let's start with preparing the ingredients.
- a pack of wonton sheets, we can find it in Chinese food store
- 1/2 kg chicken minced
- a pack of traditional tofu cut in half, we can buy it in hutcinson store
- grated carrots
- 1 egg
- 3 tblsp plain flour
For seasoning:
- 3 white onions, fine chop
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 spring onions, chop
Instructions:
- Blend chicken minced, plain flour egg, and seasoning, if done, add grated carrots. Blend with hand or using food processor is okay. Chicken minced is easy to blend with hand.
- Take a wonton sheet and put the dough on it and wrap.
- Take traditional tofu, make a space using tea spoon in tofu and then put the dough inside it.
- Do until the dough finished.
- Steam for about 20 minutes.
Ara liked to help me cooking that day, so I let her wrapped the dough and fill the tofu with it. And I took some pictures of her.
